HBCAA - Quality Team
Why do we have the Disability Sector Quality System? It is a basis for being accountable for funding and it is to provide consistency in quality of service delivery across the state. It is to provide consistency in quality of service across different service types. Qld Disability Services Act (2006) provides the basis for service provision and under the Act, Disability Services (DS) sets conditions for funding. DS Quality System. DS has established Disability Service Standards and the Disability Sector Quality System which provides the framework for monitoring the Standards. Hervey Bay Community Access Assoc (HBCAA) provides a framework for internal organisational planning and reviews activities together with providing a framework for engaging all stakeholders. ![]() In August 2006 HBCAA participated in a very rigorous and robust external audit. HBCAA was able to demonstrate it is delivering a quality service with the result being that HBCAA is now accredited under the Disability Services Quality System for the next three years. ![]() Quality Team The Quality Team was established in May 2005 to oversee the implementation and ongoing monitoring of the Disability Service Standards Quality System and for continuous improvement in line with the Disability Services Act 2006. The Quality Team which consists of service users, families, staff and other interested community members coordinate the internal review processes to align with Disability Standards and standard indicators for continuous improvement. |
